Love Me, Love My Co-Authors

A/N: Quick note -- all of these chapters are going to be, eh... nausiatingly short, only because every chapter started out as an RPG to myself. Yes, it's as weird as it sounds, but somehow I have more fun talking to myself...More notes have been written, more chapters will be up soon if people actually review.

Chapter one -- How Many IQ Points?

'A strangely quiet day,' Efad Milton thought to herself. 'I hope the peace holds out...' She looked across the room at her five friends, Aaron Sidnay, Kevin McGorma, and Brian and Justin Layor, who were sitting in a circle playing cards. She smiled to herself and turned her attention back to her Gameboy game, enjoying the silence.

That is, until Aaron errupted with a shout of, "Did not!"

"Did too!" Kevin countered angrily.

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

Efad sighed. She knew it was too good to be true...she looked up from her game at the two fighting boys. "What are y'all two fighting about NOW?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kevin crossed his arms indignantly. "Aaron flat-out insulted me, without any reason whatsoever!"

"I was stating a fact," Aaron growled.

"Were not!"

"Was too!"

"HEY!" Brian looked both of them in the eye when they had silenced. "We're not starting THAT again, fellas."

Efad smiled wearily. "I'm glad to have a second peace keeper. How did the argument start, anyway?"

Kevin snorted at Aaron and turned to the girl, trying to look as if he needed sympathy. "We were sitting here playing cards when Justin brought up the question of whether or not eggplant has an IQ---"

"Don't bring ME into this," Justin interrupted, raising his hands to show innocence. Brian managed to sneak a look at the boy's cards before he put them out of eyeshot.

"---and Aaron," Kevin continued, "came out with 'It has to have an IQ, because it's smarter than Kevin!' for no reason!"

Efad sighed. "Kev, you're overreacting, first of all. Second..." She turned to Aaron. "That IS an insult, whether you think it's true or not..." Her expression changed as she grinned at him. "Or whether I think it's true or not. Case closed!"

Confused, Brian scratched his head. "Hey, did we ever decide if eggplant had an IQ?"

Aaron grinned. "Yeah, because it's smarter than Kevin."

"Is not!" Kevin snapped.

"Is too!"

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

Efad, Justin and Brian shared a groan between the three of them. "Not again..." they moaned in unison.
