Shining eyes
Perfect hair
Just another mask
Like so many others
Strong, perfect, shielded by lies,
Projecting the image so well...
My shoulder to cry on, my hand to hold,
So alone, so anguished,
So full of pain, it is true shame
To see the truth when one has seen the lies.
Truth is never what we wish it to be
Full of hate and cruelty
Hurt by the world
Hurt by those who should not do so
Beautiful
Weeping silent tears.

My guardian angel suffers
For the world is not what it should
Bleeding angel
Weeping tears unheard
Perfect girl
Perfect mask
Perfect lie
Shielded by nothing, left cold
Jaded
Hateful
Who heals the healer?
Is it possible to end this dance
Of hate and pain?

My bleeding guardian angel,
Longing for love
Longing for those arms
To shield her from the cold
To shield her from the hurt
So alone
So sad
Tortorous distances...
Keeping love away
But I'm here.

As I can, I am your shield,
Your arms against the cold,
The love that should always be there...
Not all in the world is cold and harsh
I'm here.
