Summary: Bialy's just another neglected fifteen-year-old. Arwyn's just another winter spite. What do they have a common. Nothing but they love for strawberries. {Shonen-Ai}
~*~*~*~*~
Renny "Bialy" Aithne Leif had never been truly loved. His parents were extreme workaholics. They were never there for him. Luckily, his grand- parents lived by and took care of him but then they moved to Montana when he was three. So, Bialy was left all alone in his Boston apartment day-in and day-out..
When he was ten, his parents got a job transfer to Japan. Bialy was so excited because his parents wanted to leave within the day (They are extreme workaholics mind you), they took a private jet. For the entire plane trip, he could socialize with his parents. This would be "Pure Bliss" for him but his parents work the entire time and paid no attention to their young son.
That was five years ago. So now he lived in Japan. In the time he lived in Japan, he had seen his parents all of three times. Because of this neglect, Bialy was very antisocial. He never, ever dated, he only left his home for school with some exceptions but not much and never had a friend.... until one rather odd day changed that..
It was mid-May and the sun was shining brightly. Bialy was sitting under a tree shading himself from the sun, eating his strawberry ice cream cone. He watched all the people, studying, playing, just having fun and being happy. Bialy sighed, licking the dripping ice cream on the side of the cone. Looking up at the sun, he decided to leave before he burned, silently cursing whoever in his life gave him his albino's genes.
Standing up, he slowly walked away, unnoticed by anyone. Seeing some stones laying on the ground, he went to go kick them to re-live some moments in his pathetic childhood.
*Kick*
Ten feet.
*Kick*
Six feet.
*Kick*
Thirteen feet.
*Kick*
Oops.
Went into a tree.
'I guess that was a little too hard.' He thought. He was about to walk away where a slight rustling in the tree which he just hit with a stone accrued. He stopped and looked into the tree. More looking, more looking, more looking. *sigh* 'Guess it was in my mind, I mean what did I except to happen, some beautiful fairy fall out of it and we live happily ever after. I must stop watching Disney films.' He sighed and walked away.
When he was a good distant away, a small head with silverish white hair and light blue streaks emerged from that tree. There was a huge Band- Aid over the forehead. Intrigued and curious about a boy who just hit him with a stone, the head (followed by a body) flipped out of the tree and silently followed Bialy.
~*~*~*~*~
Yawning after finally finishing his homework. Bialy throw himself on the couch and popped in the videos his grandparents had sent him. Pressing the 'play' button on the remote, the video started playing.
"Forensic Files? Aww.. Thanks Grandpa." He smiled, happy someone listen to him on occasion, despite if that person lived thousands of miles away. He pulled the blanket over his body curling up around a pillow. He was, as his grandmother put it, very morbid. He just couldn't help it, he loved science and crimes and murders. And Japan wasn't the place for that. Not as murderous as good ol' U.S. of A. Feeling slightly more loved, Bialy continued to concentrate on the show.
Around a hour and half later (his grandpa taped more than one episode), Bialy was nearly asleep. His eyes were closed and he was drifting away from reality...
than the sound of crashing pots to the ground dragged him back at a rapid pace. Jumping out off the couch, he thought for a moment his mom or dad was home, for one of their yearly night-time trips to see if the house was intacted. Bialy ran into the kitchen, desperately wanting to see his parents but found no one in there. He wanted in burst into tears though he forced himself not to by affected by their negligence.
Walking back to the couch, he stopped finding a little surprise sitting Indian-style on it watching the TV intensely. "It" had silver-ish white hair with pretty light blue streaks that reminded Bialy of winter frost. "It"'s clothes gave Bialy a "decent-belly-dancer" vibe. He cocked his head a little to see if "it" would go away. "It" didn't and "it" noticed Bialy's pretense.
"Hey!" "It" said in the rather cheerful voice, turning back to the show. Bialy raised one of his eyebrows.
"ok....." he said, sitting down too, thinking he was probably just hallucinating. "It" turned again to Bialy.
"Ya know, you should probably say sorry." "it" smiled.
"For what?" "It" stilled just smiled.
"For hitting in the head early. It was quite rude. I was napping." "It" explained so matter-of-fact-ly.
"Sorry?" Bialy said, turning his head back to the T.V. It probably wasn't good to talk to your hallucinations, he figured.
"S'k." Bialy shook his head and laid down, trying to ignore "it" but "it" laid down with Bialy. Turning his head, he gave a questioning look to "it" who smiled sweetly back at him.
"G'night!" "It" whispered, laying his head on Bialy's stomach.
"night.....?" Bialy answered, more confused than he had even been in his life. 'oh well. "It" will be gone tomorrow.' He thought, although he would probably miss "it". Sadly, that was the most conversation he had made in a long time. Sighing, Bialy stared at the T.V. but found himself drifting back away from reality again from listening to "it"'s breathing in the background. This time, nothing snapped him awake until morning.
~*~*~*~*~*
He awake to the ringing sound of his telephone and groggily dragged his hand around the floor until he found. He pushed the 'talk' button, thorough after hearing the voice, he really wished he didn't.
"Leif-san! I congratulate you!" Bialy gritted his teeth together so not say anything "bad". It was Ms. Kakumi on the another end, an 30-year-old kindergarten teacher who lived next door to him. She was like that annoying female friend you'd have to who tried to hook you up with everyone she knew. Bialy knew her intentions were good but he also got rather annoyed at her when she called and/or talked to him.
"For what due to I ask, Kakumi-san?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. Reaching down for the remote to turn off the T.V., he remembered about "it". "It" wasn't sleeping with him anymore. He was just hallucinating. Feeling relieved but sadden, he listened to what Kakumi-san had to say.
"For that kawaii, little girlfriend you found, of course, silly." She replied.
'Huh?' was the only response Bialy could register.
"Your kawaii girlfriend. I was just about to go ran some errands and when I was walking out my door. I see someone sitting in your front yawn picking and eating strawberries. She's so Cute. So, I call to congratulate but now I'm going to be late so Bye, Leif-san!" She said all very quickly than hang- up. It took Bialy a couple minutes to let his brain register what she had said (He did just wake up). The thought of someone was eating his precious strawberries without his permission finally let move to action. Storming out his door, he got another shock.
"It" was the one sitting on the lawn. Bialy thought for a moment. Kakumi- san had seen "it" too, thus proving "it" hadn't be a hallucination but that ment that "it" was a she, something actually living. Bialy also felt stupid because he had heard her breathing last night, also kind-of proving she had to be living.
Walking over to her, he discovered other thing. She was a he, a very gorgeous he. Bialy watched him for a minute or two. Cross-legged, he pick some strawberries, placed them in a bowl next to him and then eat one and continue his routine. He noticed Bialy out of the corner of his eye than smiled before bounced up and over to Bialy.
"Good Mourning. Sorry for last night. I forget to introduce myself. My name is Arwyn. And what's your name?" Bialy frowned, wicked pissed at this stranger who enter his house in the middle of the night, acting as if it was nothing at all.
"I'm Renny Aithne Leif. Most people," he paused before continuing," just call me Bialy. Now, why are you on my property?" Arwyn smiled.
"Because you. hit. me. and. i. want. ted. an. a. pol. a. ge." He said, pretty much spelling it out for Bialy.
"I gave you one so..."
"You're so lucky, Bialy." He nearly fainted. Someone thought _he_ was _lucky_.
"YOU THINK _I'M_ LUCKY!!!" He yelled due to surprise and kind-of scared Arwyn.
"Yup. You lived on StrawBerry Lane. I would love to live there. It's so pretty and alive." He smiled, eating another strawberry.
"StrawBerry Lane?"
"Yup. StrawBerry Lane. Sprites love Strawberry Lane. No spite lives here though." He frowned slightly, now sucking on the half-eaten strawberry.
"Sprites?"
"Yup. Sprites!" He was smiling again and offering Bialy a strawberry. Bialy took it and sat down next to him.
"So you believe in sprites, pixies, fairies, elfs, nymphs, et certra?" Bialy asked before eating his strawberry.
"I am a sprite!" Arwyn laughed. Bialy blinked a couple times, forgetting to bite the strawberry.
"No, I was being serious."
"So was I! I'm a Winter Sprite." He giggled, his voice full of pride. Bialy looked at Arwyn like he had another head which was close enough.
"Serious?" Arwyn nodded his head. "Why are you a "Winter Sprite"?" Bialy asked. Arwyn looked at Bialy like he had asked the stupidest question ever, which was close enough.
"Because I was born in Winter by two sprites..."
"Fifteen-ish years ago?" Bialy interrupted. He thought Arwyn's parents were semi-much insane and just thought they were sprites.
"Try 396 years ago, sweetheart." Arwyn smiled. Bialy had a very blank expression on his face.
"So can I live with you for a bit? Like I've said, I love StrawBerry Lane." Arwyn smiled. Sighing, Bialy replied, finally eating his strawberry;
"Sure. Why not..." And there, this little story starts.
