Night, with it's ever vigilant stars and its shimmering crystal the moon, was alive. Through the sky of night was a figure of six, webbed wings. The figure looked down as he descended towards a darkened beach with his six wings stirring up a small gust. Towering to seven feet, the figure's blood red eyes shone quietly behind the long sections of bangs that reached his muscular chest. The figure's silver hair cascaded down to the mid back stopping above his windbreakers. He walked to the lake, while his shin guards reflected the dull moonlight as he folded his six wings about himself. When he looked to the lake, its stillness formed in his eyes as his mind wandered. From the shadows, he emerged next to the city limits from the direction of the lake. He appears every bit a tall demon, yet there is no malice in his heart. His eyes scan the area as his thoughts dwell on weather to enter the city itself. Several minutes pass before his curiosity was piqued and he entered.

A woman, in a flowing, fuschia dress and velvet cloak was walking by shop windows. The ribbons in her headdress shifted slightly as she peered into windows on either side of the street. Her shoes tapping slightly, quietly as she walked. The demon stood out among the crowd behind her. "Heh. nice city." He walked past her, as he also looked into the shops.

Suddenly, a small group of city guards - soldiers - stepped forth and stopped the figure. ".hmm?" The figure looked up.

"Hey you! Demon! You're not allowed in our city!!" the lead soldier yelled.

"Huh.?" The woman looked up to the commotion, and blinked while she was watching.

"I come peacefully and mean no harm. I am not like my so called demon kin." He said to them, calmly.

"Don't give me that!!! All you demons are alike!" the leader soldier yelled, "You're all murdering bastards!"

A subordinate of his put a hand on his leader's shoulder, "Sir. please, calm down."

The woman was getting pissed. She had never liked the soldiers of the city much before, and what she was seeing was not bettering her opinion of them.

"No!! I refuse to! My best friend was killed because of your kind and now I will avenge him at all costs!!" the leader drew his blade, "Now die!!!" and dashed forward slashing.

The demon figure merely dodged the attacks as if he only needed to stand still. He was also smirking.

"Hey now! What did he do!?" the woman stepped forward, questioning.

The secondary soldier blocked her form getting close, "Please, ma'am, stay out of this."

"Grr! Stand still!!!" the leader swiped with his sword even faster.

"Fine." the demon man stood still.

"And why should I?" She pushed forward and was planning in her head.

"HA!" The leader jumped at the demon with his blade, but could not hit. Just before reaching the skin, the blade had stopped. "Wha-what!? I. I can't move.!!"

"Sir!!" the other man stepped forward, but couldn't get any closer either.

The woman looked to the attacking leader and spoke. "That 'demon' is a guest in this town. He does not carry his papers, however, because he is my guest, and I have my papers, it is legal for him to be on the streets as long as I am within sight!" She hoped her plan would work.

The demon figure grinned, knowing his telekinesis would work, even though it was a strain.

"Grr!" The leader broke his attack and looked at the papers, "but. he's a demon! .My, my best friend.!"

The woman looked to the demon man to see if he would keep up with her plan.

"But sir! Her papers check out!"

"Get revenge on the one that did harm to your friend. but not any other." she glared at the leader.

"Fine! He can go! If he lets us go!" The leader was having a hard time getting out of the telekinesis hold.

The woman looked to the demon, "Well?"

He paused, ". I shall let them ," he walked up to the leader, "there is something I wish to share with you, sir."

The woman watched, tensed.

"Your best friend. was killed by a demon, yes I know. that demon's name was Asgroth. he no longer exists."

"Huh.? Are you saying. you.?"

Without saying a word, he dropped his telekinesis hold on the soldiers, and he began to walk away. "Perhaps you should not judge others merely by their appearance." He headed into an alleyway after that. The woman followed him, the charade of being her guest had to be maintained. After they had gone a few steps, he suddenly stopped. Curious, she stopped and looked to him. He gazed down to her and bowed slightly, "I thank you. for your help back there."

She nodded slightly, "no problem. Well, that is unless they decide to check my guest listing to find it quite blank." she sighed, " You want something to eat?"

He chuckled softly, "You don't even know my name, and yet you treat me to a meal. a proof of true kindness, no?"

She laughed a bit. "Well I had been searching for a friend who was going to visit. however, her shady job has once again kept her from coming. I have extra tonight." He nodded, "Alright. I would be honored to join you."
