Place of Dreams

IceAngelDarkMoon

This was part of my school poetry unit. I was absent the day we learned how to write this type of poem so I got the directions but I interpreted them differently. It was a lot longer than it was suppose to be, but I liked how it turned out. It was suppose to be a real place, and to me this place is real though it will never be on any map.

An empty cabin in the woods by the sea.

On windy rainy days that clear for beautiful nights,

When the sun sets reflecting in the waves.

Whispers on the wind tell me secrets.

The trees creaky laugh as you climb them.

The sea pounding the rocks as it always has.

A girl watches alone from above,

The sun's last rays kiss her goodnight.

The moon comes to awaken the night.

I watch the sunset as water laps my feet.

I listen to the music of nature.

I lay in the grass looking up at the moon.

When I find this place of my dreams I will never leave.

I am eternally at peace.

Please review: tell me what you think of my own little world! IADM
