Morning Tears

I touch your cold face and it is as the morning dew upon grass

Tears fall down those frozen cheeks

Tears only the pains of memories can induce

Am I the only one who has watched such emotion,

From your darkened mind and fallen life?

Why are those drops of soul hidden from all else?

There should be no shame in sorrow that is shown

I think, as I wipe away with a soft touch, your own

Only the weak cannot bear to let sadness flow

You are never weak, my love in midnights shadow

Yet I stroke your hair and I know that you hide from me

In that stronghold of stone that you call your mind

I rest my weary head on your chest while arms hold me tight in embrace

Let out your pain for I am here forever with you

Though tears fall from your eyes now, you remain still beautiful to my heart

You make no sound; no sobs reach my ears, only silence

But I know you are trapped inside darkness, bound tight

Please remember I can free you from such torture with love
