The Bishounen Analysi By Djinnman

Disclaimer: this is just a short analysis I'v come up with after a while of observing this phenomenon know as "Bishounen"

It has come to my attention in both the art world and in the realm of fan fiction (generally concerning anime at the least) that there is this thing known as a bishounen which many find irresistible and full of qualities which cannot be found normally on any other person. What is a Bishounen you ask? Well I shall give you the best definition I can possibly come up with. A bishounen is a figure, male, with traits and features that are extremely appealing to those of the female population. In many cases as I've read reviews, watched animes, played video games, and such of the like, girls are simply mystified by them.

Now the next question one may ask is, what are the traits that give bishounen the ability to cause countless numbers of girls to flock to them? Well in a general sense here are several physical and personal traits that may be accountable for that. One, the bishounen's height. More or less you'll see them at anywhere from 5'6 to 7 feet tall with the exception if the bishounen is not entirely human (i.e anthros). Secondly is the hair, girls tend to like males with long, silky or short and spiky hair. The usual colors of the hair run between white to blonde to gray and so forth. Thirdly is the body, males who are muscular but not bulky are usually perfered (i.e Sepheroth) or those who are liner and almost have feminine qualities to them (i.e Kuja).

As for the personality, if anyone has not already cought on to this then it should be quite simple. Many Bishounen tend to be rather psychoctic and extremely evil in nature, uncaring and certainly unmerciful but even in the midst of the evil girls find that particular soft spot that they can see like a light house on a foggy night. Or on the other hand the personality could belong to the protaginst Bishounen who would posses the same cool composure, as would the villain or would be somewhat clueless (i.e Laguna)

In conclusion, Bishounen are highly dangerous and should be kept in cages because they have all the luck where as nerds, geeks, and average guys would have a hard time fully measuring up to that, but they can certainly rest assured that they can't possibly be real...or are they O.o

Thanks to the reviews of one miss Sayuu and miss Jenger, I'm adding things, which I have left out in the original version of this analysis.

Concerning the looks of the over all appearance of the Bishounen, thanks to Jenger's input I agree that yes infact some of the traits exhibited by Bishounen can be seen in real life people (well duh of course) but one must keep in mind that well, In an anime guy these traits are more exaggerated. I mean come now, I don't think you can give a guy like Fabio silver hair, black leather armor, a ten foot sword and say he can pass off like Sepheroth.

Another thing that has been shown to me thanks to miss Sayuu is that the bishounen categories extends much further then your usual dashing heart breaking psycho or hero. For a perfectly good example how about tenchi. He's no sepheroth, sure he has spiky hair but it's rather moderate and well he's kinda scrany but he has a whole harem of women that lust over him twenty four seven. I suppose what I can say about that is is that I was mentioning Bishounen that are publicized because how often do you see fan art of Tenchi and the gang and what girl(or guy) goes nuts when you mention his name.

Finally as for that last little paragraph where I was babbling about Bishounen having all the luck and making it tough for nerds and average Joe and such. That was just my poor attempt at human, mind you it being 2 in the morning and being sleep deprived.
