Falling Out

He heard she was out with Brad
And that made him sad
But yet it was just a rumour
He knew he could trust her
He left her a note
“Meet me at the park” he wrote
He was there early
He knew his best friend wouldn’t play dirty
To steal the girl of his dreams
Or so it seemed
A shadow fell across the ground
He turned around
It was her
One look at her face and he knew for sure
A tear rolled down
There was not a sound
Except for the sound of something breaking
She knew he was aching
But there was little she could do
He decided to play it cool
He then hugged her goodbye
And left before he cried
Not a single word was spoken
Yet a heart had been broken.
