Nineteen months later Chris was sitting on the window seat in their room looking out the window, she was waiting for Mark to come home as she had something to tell him.  They had been married  six months now.  As their wedding present Mark’s parents had given them the house and the hotel and they had moved to the main land.  Her family, Heather and her best friend from Texas had all made it to the wedding, her family were back for Christmas; which was a couple of days away and they were due to arrive for dinner in an a couple of hours along with Mark’s parents.

“Chris.”

“Hmm?” she turned her head and looked at Mark, who was sitting next to her. “What time is it?”

“Six.”

“I must of dosed off.” She said standing up.  He caught her and pulled her down onto her lap.

“My Dad’s running a little late so I asked your folks to come over a little later, you have plenty of time to get changed.  You feeling okay?”

“I feel great, why?”

“Just not like you to have a nap in the evening that’s all.”

“You know how we’ve been discussing having kids lately.” She asked looking at her hands.

“Yes?”  He looked at her closely “Now?”

“Well not right now but in seven months time.”

“We’re going to have a baby!”

Smiling she nodded.  Mark stood up and spun her around then gently tossed her onto the bed, following her there.

“Mark our families will be here soon.”

“They wont be here for another hour or so, that gives me plenty of time to make love to my wife and let her get dressed in time for them arriving!”  He said before cutting off anything else she was about to say with a kiss.
