I Waited so long to welcome you into the world
You 8 Pound 11 ounce little girl.

Your bright red hair and that soft baby skin
it is enough to make my world swirl.

I hold you in my arms
your light little body lay near my heart

We have grown so close together
enough to know that we will never part.

Now, as I say good-bye
to go back to where i am from

Of you I take a little piece.
