"Wanna dance?" he asked.

"Sure."

"Cool," Will said, leading Kari to the dance floor. They stayed there for quite some time, dancing and laughing.

"Hey Will, mind if I borrow your date?" someone asked.

"Sure Xander," Will replied, looking over his shoulder. Kari glared at Xander who smirked at her. Kari scowled as a slow song came on.

"Damn it. Bad fucking timing," grumbled Kari.

"Ha ha wimp," Xander said mockingly.

"I'll show you a wimp!" Kari snapped, taking Xander's hand. They moved to the middle of the dance floor.

"Is that Xander and Kari?" Kendra asked. Rick looked up and choked on his punch.

"It is! First they try to kill each other and now they're dancing? Those two confuse the shit out of me!" Rick exclaimed.

"Ah well. Let them be confusing. If it weren't for them we wouldn't have met," Kendra reminded Rick.

"Guess so Babe," Rick answered, pulling Kendra in a tight embrace.

"Our friends are staring at us," murmured Kari.

"So?"

"I don't like it. They're gonna think I -like- like you!" Kari exclaimed quietly.

"You think they don't now eh? Well they do! Especially the bastards that claim to be my friends," muttered Xander,

"Ha ha," chuckled Kari.

"Shut up," growled Xander.

"I don't think I will," Kari answered.

"Bitch," muttered Xander.

"Jack ass," retorted Kari. They continued bickering until the song ended. As soon as it ended, Kari stormed away from Xander. Xander followed her.

"What's the rush?" he asked tauntingly.

"Fuck off Xander," growled Kari.

"Nah, I don't think I will," replied Xander.

"Do you live to torment me?" asked Kari.

"I could ask you the same," answered Xander. Kari walked away from him again. "I'm not giving up that easily!" Xander yelled at her. Kari ignored him and stormed outside. Xander followed her outside.

"Go away damn it!" shrieked Kari.

"No," Xander replied calmly.

"I'll beat the shit out of you if you don't!" threatened the enraged girl.

"I'm not afraid of you Hikari," answered Xander.

"What the fucking Hell do you want!?!?" she yelled. Xander walked up to her.

"What makes you think I want something?" questioned Xander.

"'Cause you won't leave me alone!" hissed Kari. Xander smirked at her. "Stop that!" she growled. Xander stared at her, still smirking. "You're starting to scare me Xander," Kari said softly, taking a step backwards. Xander grabbed her arms, leaned forward, and kissed her. Kari stared, dumbfounded. Xander pulled away and walked off. Kari stood there still in her stupor. "He..." she murmured, trailing off.
