"This may sound insane but with all you've seen I'm sure you'll believe me. I am Anisole, Princess of Detten. I can see the question in your eyes. Detten is a planet so far from this one that it doesn't show on its radar. It is the life planet of the Akorin galaxy. All these words may sound familiar to you but since I see you can't quite decipher them yet I will tell you their meaning. Akorin is sustainment for the galaxy sustains the planets. Detten is life and energy. The planet cares for us as if it were our mother for that is what she is. We care for her in return but lately a threat has arisen that dares spit in the face of the one that feeds it. Hijiri only you can rid us of this threat." Confusion overwhelmed my desire for Anisole as I tried to process what this all meant.
"How can I save your planet?"
"Did you not see what you just did out there? Hijiri you are the most powerful child of our world. They knew this so tried to get rid of you and now they will search for you to annihilate you."
"They're in there!" Those where voices I've never heard before so knew it was time to run. Anisole seemed to pick up on that message as she pulled me to my feet and walked toward the wall that leads to the outside world. I pulled her back as she put one arm through the wall.
"You're mad we're twenty stories up!" She smiled as she yanked my arm hard enough to pull us both into the cool morning air. I closed my eyes awaiting my body to impact with the unforgiving concrete.
"Sosetan!" My feet landed on a soft material that felt almost like fur so I opened my eyes to meet what looked to be a furry spaceship.
"What the hell?"
"Meet Sosetan. Translation-living travel. He is of a race of transforming creatures that will take their masters any where they wish as long as they are properly cared for and loved. Sosetan has been with me since we were both infants. He has grown with me. He is very kind and obviously likes you or he would've already thrown you off." She slid down into the ship.. Err ... creature... um.. Sosetan. Whatever. I followed her inside staring in awe at the advanced technology inside the ship basically controlling itself. She smiled and took my hand making me follow her to another room in the ship. It was like a grand house inside the ship. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. She was looking through some drawers letting me get a pretty nice view of her backside. I blushed remembering I was nude so turned around just in time to avoid being further embarrassed. She handed me clothes of silk as soft as the gown she wore. I slipped into the items quickly hoping my cover hadn't been blown. I guessed it hadn't because she said nothing only smiled as she led me to another room.
"These are the sleeping quarters. You will sleep there while I sleep here across from you. We will be put at rest for the time it takes the ship to reach Detten. That is approximately two days. The ship must jump through a few blackholes to get there and it is best we be asleep when that occurs. Now go to bed you don't want to be standing there when Sosaten releases the sleep chemicals." I nodded my head and got on the enormous bed loving how it felt soft yet firm. My eyes started to feel heavy as I looked over at the sleeping beauty across from me. I dragged myself out of my bed and onto hers. It was big enough for there to be space for two more people at both our sides. Seeing this made me think of what Detten would be like. I could evade sleep no longer so let my eyes close sighing in satisfaction at having someone to hold whilst I slept.
"Well, well the little Princess has become quite daring." The servants snickered as I discreetly watched them. They had yet to realize I was awake a fact I would not make known till Anisole wakes. I don't know what to do and she seems to be the only one I can trust. She stirs in my arms shooting up when she realizes she's not alone in the bed. She looks down at me shock clearly evident in her expression but there also seems to be a tinge of anger or maybe fear.
"What are you doing here? My father hasn't come yet has he? Oh Gods." She jumps out of the bed and I follow like a little lost puppy. She is walking through winding corridors with portraits of what I believe to be past kings and queens or high ranking officials. She pushes open a set of heavy double doors running inside to a throne. I see her fall into someone's embrace and stand there numb. Who could this man she holds so tenderly be?
"My daughter how I have missed you."
"And I you father. My journey has taken longer than I expected."
"Anisole? Anisole!" She releases her father only to be swept up by a young man that I have to admit I pale in comparison to. His hair is deeper gold than Anisole's almost brown but not quite. His body toned and obviously well looked after. The sword at his side and the arrows in his quiver tell me he is either a warrior or a hunter. I shy away but as I try to sneak away a hand on my back pushes me back into the room. I look into cool grey eyes feeling smaller each minute. One of these men is bound to have already put claims on Anisole and of course wouldn't she choose these elegantly dressed men over someone lower than a peasant?
"That is her older brother and heir to the throne Tolkien. I am the one she is to marry, Kenchi future Lord of the Northern Lands. I would adore to reside in this floating palace but my responsibility is to the North. So who are you young lad so worried about the status of my future Lady?" I gulped and looked at Anisole and Tolkien who were approaching. As I looked into that smiling face I knew I had to get out of here. This place just wasn't for me. I'd do what she asked of me and leave her to her fairytale life.
"Hijiri Dainsuke the champion of the prophecies."T
