You

I’ve loved you forever.

But have been searching for longer.

You are the scent of autumn rain and the colour of a summer day.  You were

there, in the innocent eyes of the first boy I kissed.  You were with the smiling

stranger who helped me when I fell.

Yes.  I remember you.

But I stopped believing you were real.  I thought I’d imagined, created you even.

I grew older, and pushed my dreams of you to the back of my mind, and buried

your soul in the depths of my heart.

I saw you again today.

But you don’t know me anymore.
