A million colours

Light up the sky

Look so beautiful

But why oh why

Does the scene I see

Have to be that of war

It sure aint something

I've seen before

If you want us all dead

Think for a while

Of that orphan in Iraq

Living on the streets so vile

Then again, maybe it would be better

If he just passed away

To be remembered

For not even a day

But if you're like me

You'll come to see

Even though we wanna help

It aint that easy

The war goes on and on

Yet many die, are dying, are dead

We seem unaffected, life goes on

But has the thought ever entered your head?

Yes, that orphan may be thousands of miles away

But what if he was closer to you than that?

What if he was you?

What would you think of that?

Maybe we should think, if just for a minute

Do we really want a war?

Mr Bush? Mr Blair?

If he was your child, if it was your house

If, if, if?
