Disclaimer: I wrote it. Not you. So don't take it. 'Nuff said.
Lisa: Hello? *looks around nervously* Um, this is our first actual posty thing on ......our other original things were originally posted on .
Kamilah: Hi! *waves*
Lisa: This is Kamilah, my yami. She's the darker half of my soul, for those of you that don't watch Yu-Gi-Oh and don't know what a yami is. ^_^
Kamilah: The title means "peace" in Japanese by the way, in case you were wondering.
Lisa: I know it's very short, but I was planning to post this, and I decided that while me (and the rest of the east coast) is buried in snow, it would be a good time to post it.

The pure snow blankets the ground in a dazzling white that blinds anyone who stares at it for too long. The screams and laughter of the neighborhood children echo throughout the joyful and carefree scene. The smoky smell from nearby fireplaces mixes with the crisp frigid air and the scent fills the noses of the happy children, free from school for one day. They fall onto their backs and lie on the soft snow, the flakes of frozen water drifting lazily onto the ground. Delighted shrieks fill the air as a snowball fight begins. Snowballs hurtle through the air as the arctic wind whips their hair. Laughing, one child falls down into the snow, and it seeps into his gloves and chills his fingers. Much later, exhausted but contented, the children trudge back to their warm houses, the smell of hot chocolate beckoning them onward. They curl up in their homes, sipping the warm beverage. The children have found peace.
