Falling Rain, Fallen Pain

January 3, 2004

Full of regret and pain,

I looked at the pieces

Dropped in the falling rain.

Can I put them back together?

Can I even find them?

It may be the past

But it still hurts,

It still hurts.

The pain comes to my heart,

Quick and fast, like falling rain.

As I relive my mistakes,

Broken dreams, lost love...

Will I ever step out

Of the clouds above?

That rain down my sorrows-

Constantly reminding.

Will I ever heal?

Will I ever see tomorrow

As a day of hope,

Of love and peace?

Will you pull me out from under

This puddle of falling rain?

Will you help me?

Will you love me?

Please love, set me free!

Hold me as I cry,

Tears flowing like the river

Of my soul.

I need you

Or I won’t be the same.

I won’t live, I won’t die,

I’ll just be

Like the falling rain,

Never to see the sky again.

Catch me-

Because without you,

I will always be

Chained, and never free.
