how your eyes light up the world
and tell me everything
that cannot be said
by your lips, that speak
magic words
and render life a joke
when they touch mine.

There are no words
to tell you,

There are no words
in the English language,
nor Japanese, nor French,
Korean nor Swahili
nor any language known to man
to express the power
of emotion
that takes me when I touch
your skin,
your hair...

You’ve left a writer speechless.
And that is no small feat.

Author's Notes: This is the only poem I've written for my boyfriend—and this is why! There just aren't any words to say everything. I learned that before, from past experiences. This may or may not be the only one, I don't know. It didn't turn out too bad, considering I haven't written poems in such a long time. I'll probably write him another one just to improve on it once I get back into it, but I think this is okay. It's more outright sappy than most things I've written, I think it does the boy justice. lol ^_^ Or not. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it (even if it's not my best work )!! ~MJ
