If Tomorrow Never Happens

If the sun does not rise

In my eyes

If she has to face this world alone

Can my love carry

Through nights so stubborn

Does she know I love her?

Does she know I will be a specter?

Dare I tell her once more?

So she'll know

It comes from the core

Look at her surprise,

Linger after I settle into my demise

Listen, my heartbeat slows

A painful reminder

Of how life goes

Here's the tears I know she's gonna cry

Here's to what I cannot deny

Here's to the single rose,

Symbol of life, of death, love eternal

Who knows…?
