Death of a Heart

Your eyes reach me,
Touch me, like that
And I'm thrown,
Thrown to the ground,
Where wolves tear at
My flesh, and I
Wait patiently to die
At the hands of ugly
Carnivores, and
Scavengers swoop
Down to eat my now
Carrion flesh.
Slowly, slowly the
Maggots eat away
My last bits of
Bone, and your work
Is now obvious in its
Product. You
Ripped my heart from
Its rightful place, and
As it died, love,
So did I.
