Author's Note
Well, if you are anything like me, you don't always enjoy reading the author's note. But I implore you just this once, read, please! It won't take that long, and it very well may enhance your reading experience.
First off, I would like to thank my dearest friend for continuing to encourage me throughout the time that I wrote the first part of this story, as she has continued to do as I write the second.
It took me a full year to get the first "book" of this story done, and I have to say, never has a story been so much fun,but so challenging at the same time.
For me, each story I write is a learning experience, so even if this story ends up at the bottom of my bin, I will remember all the great things I learned while writing, and of course,I will remember the characters.
Characters and description are two very important things to me. If you have neither, than that's a pretty boring story.
That is why I want my readers to enjoy and *see* the characters as much as I. I think that's kind of what a lot of authors want, who can't illustrate their stories (although I can, but obviously, I can't stick it on here).
So, to give you the clearest picture possible, I tend to describe things in a LOT of detail in the upcoming story. Simply because I want YOU to see what I see. Or a reasonable facsimile. :D
And, before the story, I'll introduce the players, if you will, and give you an idea of what kind of characters you'll be seeing.
And lastly, whether or not this story is loved or hated, I will continue to write it, because I love it, regardless of what the others may say, that's all that matters, right?

CHARACTERS

Name: Allie Roberts
Occupation: Journalist
Role in Story: Main character
Compare to: Arm..Michelle Pfeiffer in 'LadyHawke'..only not quite so beautiful.:D

Name: Gavin 'Feug' Torris
Occupation: swordsman, gunman..eh, warrior.
Role in Story: slow-to-come main character
Compare to: No one. Hah. Voice wise, I say, listen for something like Hopper from Bugs Life, but don't dwell there too long, because that's really not right either, maybe with a Sonny Crockett voice thrown in? Persona wise, I can find no one to compare him too. He's the rottenest character I've ever written about. Look wise: There is no match. He's authentic.

Name: Cpt. Sarvicks Vente (ven-tay)
Occupation: swordsman, commander
Role in story: additional character..possible love interest?
Compare to: He was inspired from the Final Fantasy video game series. Voice wise, try Dauragon , from 'The Bouncer'. (loose some of the accent though)

For now, that's all the characters you'll need to know about. Obviously, you'll read about more,but I don't want to spoil too much for you.
I making this story into a trilogy, so this is the first book in the 'series'. Each book will have so many chapters before I take it to the second book and so on. I will post each "book" separately.
Well, I ask now that you go on, thanks for reading through and staying with me, and that you please have a little patience, some imagination and FUN when you read my story, I'm still a young author to most, and I'm still learning.
