The Power of Emotion
By: Me ^_^
Chapter 1: The life of a traveler.
It was raining outside. Three kids ran into a bar/inn to escape it. As they stood in the door way, they tried, no matter how vainly, to be at least a little bit drier. The first boy was the first to speak.
“This is nuts! I told you we should have bought that umbrella!” the first boy said angrily. He was wearing his favorite clothes, a black shirt and a pair of blue jeans, both covered in dragon designs.
“Excuse me, Billy, but I bet you didn’t even know we would run into this storm!” The second boy retorted. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a red shirt that said, “WA RULES!”
Billy said, “Miles, I ought to-“
“-be quiet and stop fighting you two!” the girl of the group said patiently. She was wearing blue flare jeans, a pink peasant shirt, a blue ribbon, her zircon necklace, black belt with silver on it, brown heeled shoes or boots, and brown fingerless gloves
Three seconds passed before anyone said anything.
“… Alright …I’ll stop, Sara…” they both replied
Sara said, “Alright, that’s what I like to hear!”
“Maybe we should worry about getting a room,” suggested Billy
The small group went up to the counter and waited for several minutes while the innkeeper/bartender was serving other customers. When he finally got to the three, Billy’s temper was running pretty high, so Sara made the orders.
The barkeeper/innkeeper asked, “What will you have kids?”
Sara replied by saying, “First, we need a room for the night.”
“How many in your group?” the barkeeper/innkeeper asked.
Sara said, “Three in our party, one room, and three beds only.”
The Bar/innkeeper asked, “Anything else, kids?”
Sara ordered a Mountain Dew. Billy ordered a Cream Soda. Miles ordered a Sierra Mist. They downed their drinks slowly and with interruption, because one of the men was running a little short on cash and decided to try to take ours. Luckily his drunken state didn’t help his vision at all, and missed horribly where Billy, who the attempt was made to knock out, and had all of the group’s money, swiftly administered the punch that knocked him out. It was getting late, so they headed up to their room. But something didn’t feel right. The gang looked around, feeling as though they were being watched, but brushed off the feeling. Billy couldn’t help feeling as though something wasn’t just right though. He looked behind him and thought he saw a shadow of something quickly scurrying away. He was suspicious for a while, but didn’t mind it and headed up to his bed as well.
