Dear Anyone Who’s Reading This,
After much pondering on this, I’ve decided to discontinue writing Lejos de Romántico. Not only is its plot overused, but it’s honestly tedious.
While I love the characters, the plot’s all wrong. So after I thought about quitting the story, I thought up a new plotline. Although it’s not exactly original, it’s better than the love/hate boy and girl costar in a movie storyline that Lejos de Romántico has.
Lejos de Romántico will be left up for a while, then it’ll be taken off. It may be disappointing to some of you, but it had to be done. While I was writing chapter eight, I found no joy in writing it at all. Rather different from what I had felt before. A year later what was so exciting and rewarding for me is now tiresome and tedious. I find no happiness in it at all.
Besides, it’s better that Lejos de Romántico is changed. The whole story is one big cliché. That’s all it is. So why not change it entirely?
I’m working on the remake (it’s not newly improved, it’s not better, it’s not the best . . . ) right now, which will hopefully turn out to be a much better story than Lejos de Romántico is.
The title of it is Regrets Regretted (about the title – let’s just say it’s a very important part of the new plot) and the plot will be way different. I can’t promise that you’ll like it, nor can I promise that you’ll hate it, but I can promise you that it is much better than Lejos de Romántico. (Must stop writing the title so much . . ) Of course it’s all a matter of opinion.
On a parting note, must say countless thanks to the following people:
Xtreme Nuisance – You were my first reviewer and have been very supportive of my story. Thanks so much for bothering to read this puny girl’s (er, sorry, my) story and commenting on it. :) There’s not enough thank yous in the world to express my gratitude. And your enthusiastic reviews always made my day and put a smile on my face. Thank you so much. =]
Navy Converse – Hehe, thanks for being honest and telling me what you thought. Even if you left a short review, I was – and still am – grateful.
Katie Bug – You were honest with me too, and told me what you thought. Even if it was an impression you got from the story, I always appreciated what you said. Really. =)
Kala – Thanks for stopping by and reading this little story too. “Interesting” will always have a good meaning now to me. =]
moi– What can I say? Thanks for reading the story and being so enthusiastic about it. Your reviews inspired me to write more.
I luv french – Thanks for encouraging me to write (although I really didn’t mean for you to collapse on the floor because of the lack of updates *sheepish*). Your reviews always helped whenever I got a lack of motivation.
The Wicked Witch of the North – Your honesty helped change my view of things and improve my writing. Thanks for sticking with this story – even if it was embarrassingly cliché.
Lazy Daze – Thanks for being honest and telling me what you thought of the story.
IdealFacade – He, thanks for telling me what you thought (Adam attractive??!) and informing me of a bug. And for always being there :)
liana – Much thanks for stopping by and telling me what you thought of this. :)
Chaotic Child – Thanks for stopping by also and reading the story. It was – is – much appreciated. :]
And most of all to Jessica, whom I can’t say enough thanks to. You have been my support and the only friend I could turn to in the worst of times. You listened to my indecisiveness and always gave me your honest opinion on everything. So I’m really indebted to you. Thanks muchly.
