Final Destiny
Chapter 1
Darkness: The very basis that has created the creature known as the vampire. Evil: People say that's what they are…but are they? All of them? Cruelty: The acts that have given the vampires such a bad name. The sucking of blood is what led mortal humans to this conclusion, but who said that they were always right? Who said so? Iean: A vampire unlike any other. Born of half blood Iean cannot find a place to call his own among his mother's people. Will his father's race prove to be more beneficial for his young vampiric needs?

A shadowed figure walked down the streets of Elligose, his face hidden from the harsh sunlight by the hood of his full length black robe. Bright red eyes glowed out from under the cloth with an eerie kind of bitter strength to them. On and on he walked. Why was he doing this? Why was he risking exposure to that fateful element, the sun? Why didn't he feed like the rest of his kind? Why did he care about the fools among whom he walked? Curse his mother's bloodline. If it were not for her he needn't worry about the safety of those idiot humans. He would be a true vampire. Not a half blood, shunned by all the other vampires of his clan due to the fact that he couldn't transform into a bat at will. Well come to think about it he couldn't transform into one at all. He shuddered but continued to walk on. Hey wait a minute! He thought, If I don't have the vampire's gifts…do I have the vampire's curse? Why not? He had nothing to lose. Iean removed his hood to reveal a pair of slightly pointed ears and blood red eyes, accompanied by a pair of pearly white fangs. Untainted by blood they had remained their original color. He starred at his abnormally pale flesh.
"Well on the upside the sun doesn’t appear to be harming me in anyway." He muttered.
Iean frowned. Somebody was starring at him. Using his vampiric agility he moved to the girl and caught her up in his clawed hand. His black fingernails pierced through her wrists frail flesh and crimson blood leaked her veins. I must resist the temptation. He reminded himself as his mind wondered off to the tangy sent of human blood.
"Don't you know it's not polite to stare?" he asked coolly. "Adrian Fa Torratol."
The girl groaned in pain under the pressure of his hand.
"Let go of me!" she whimpered. "Let go of me, Iean D'Dario! Let go or I'll scream and all the villagers will come and kill you!"
Iean glared at her, and with cold satisfaction increased the pressure on her wrist.
"Coward." He said before throwing her to the ground and running off.
Adrian Fa Torratol starred after him.
"Oh Iean. What's happened to you? Have the villagers really been that horrible to you?" Her violate eyes were on the verge of tears. "Forgive me, old friend." She whispered before standing, dusting herself off, and walking off.

Iean shook his head in disgust. He should have just ignored her and gone about his business. Now he couldn't risk going into the village for several weeks. He glanced down at his hand. His white fingers were stained blood red by Adrian's blood.
I shouldn't. If I do I might not be able to stop. But in spite his self-warnings he slowly raised his fingers up to his lips and carefully licked the red liquid off. His eyes widened in horrified fascination. It was delicious. How had he lasted so long without it?
I can't…and yet…I must have more blood! He couldn't resist the temptation there was nothing he could do. He quickly started off toward the village.

Adrian was on her way home when she heard a scream. She quickly hurried over to the 'scene of the crime'. There she saw a figure, clad in a floor length black robe, embracing an old woman. This seemed innocent enough until she saw that the figure had fangs. Fangs, which were, sunk deep into the woman's neck. The figure opened his eyes and they were a horrible shade of red.
"Iean no!" Adrian screamed. "Don't do it!"
Iean finished his meal.
"I'm sorry." He murmured. "But once I start a hunt I must finish it." He smiled bitterly. "And I can't leave any witnesses."
"Iean…please! I swear I won't tell anyone!"
Iean stopped a few mere inches short of Adrian's life.
"Mark it." He said.
"W-what?" she asked, confused.
"Mark it…in blood." He carelessly looked at his own palm and then with one of his claws cut a long cattycornered, deep, wound.
"Iean! You can't be serious!"
"Never been more so."
Adrian had heard of this vampiric custom. She held out her hand, cringing. Iean, a bit more careful than with his own (he had herd humans didn't heal quit so quickly as vampires,) cut an identically deep and long wound on her own hand, then he pressed their palms together.
"There." Iean said separating their hands. "Now you are bound to secrecy, and should you ever betray me you will die instantly. Have fun with your remaining life my pet." He said before disappearing into the shadows.
"Death to betrayal. This guy is serious." She whispered looking at her hand. "And one way or another he's determined to take my life!"
To be continued…
