Who am I?

I'm fifteen with braces and pigtails and bracelets, a fan of NSYNC in a crowd full of faces. I don't have a gun and my grades are all cheered, but to so many out there I'm feared.

They don't lock their windows or doors while they sleep cuz they know that I'm lethal although I don't creep. I don't steal their children with traces not found, but I'm evil, they know it, they've heard all around.

They sit on their thrones in the likes of DC and they fear as they wonder what to do about me. A threat to their lives, their stability, a menace to all of society.

When they see me out they take two steps away, they keep their eyes on me, or don't even stay. They know that I'm different, it's so clear as day, cuz I'm acting like them but I'm just not the same.

I can put such discomfort in even grown men, just by being brought up, I am controversy's friend. They sigh and they fidget and they squirm in their skin, cuz some are just like me and don't want to give in.

Of course, I'm just a girl, no more or no less. The reasons to fear are all in their heads. I'm fifteen with braces, they're silly to hate this. Who am I, who am I, just guess.
