I’ve been thinking of flying away.

Nowhere in particular;

just…away.

The droning monotones

battle the anonymous

voices in my head

for the privilege

of stealing my sanity.

Flying away

from all the responsibilities

that bind me

to humankind.

Take me away;

away from life.

Just for now.
