Faded Photograph

Shivering stars twinkle

in the blue sky;

Showering rays of light-

entering the room.

I travel my way into the depths

In the dusty vault

Of bitter and sweet memories

And I stopped;

As I saw something.

Gloomy images flooded in my mind;

Bringing back the familiar pain,

From a long healed wound.

The unwanted longing blanketed my heart.

My hands, tried best to grasp

An old faded photograph

Buried in the midst of forgetfulness,

Somewhere in nowhere.

Crippled fingers shaking;

Tears can't help from falling.

I stared fixedly at two persons,

Holding hand in hand,

Faces glowing with sparkling smiles.

It's been a very long time

Since I last saw this photo,

That was once yours.

It was, before, alive in colors.

Yet now, so dry, like a withered

dying leaf in Fall.

Fate and Time, I suppose,

Really, has a lot of strange ways.

Clouds give birth to the sun,

But I remained serene.

Still praying and hoping;

That somehow Destiny

Will be kind enough

To hear me and grant my wish-

To see him again,

To be able to create a memory

Like the precious moment-

In the old faded photograph.
