Snow

The white fluffy blanket

Shrouding the cold frosty ground.

The cover that saves us from

The rusty clutches of school.

Though it is a back heaving job

To shovel the piles and lumps of white.

But it allows for a free day

That we all eagerly crave.

Soft substances still falling

Painting nature with mystical white and more.

Serenity and tranquility,

Silence and speechless awe.

Snowflakes of intricate designs

Float by us quietly and slowly.

Children run and play

Building structures, imprinting angels.

Ah, then there are the wonderful snowball fights…

SPLAT! FUN!
