成一 by 木蘭格格

百鳥往朝凰,
唯有孔雀獨開屏,
不隨波遂流。

I was reading 護花鈴 and I see“百鳥皆往朝丹鳳,唯有孔雀獨開屏” I think the peacock got so much pride and confident.  I like it a lot.

Dear Pears,
Thanks for your kind words, You have been so supportive of me.  My Chinese is not good.   I did go to Chinese School until I was 12.  The last poem I read at school is Li Bai’s “the moon in front of my bed”.   I go to English school.
I feel bad about telling you this.  Princess Mulan is from the Disney’s anime, but I did read the Mulan poem after I watch the movie.  I can recite the whole Mulan poem now.
“Cut” poetry and “three-word” poetry are from 還珠格格; the rest of the ancient poems are from all the wonderful poetry books and websites out there.
I am hardly mature or adult like.  I am fanatic of martial arts novels 古龍 pretty boys ( you know ~絕代雙驕, 陸小鳳 and 楚留香) I read them every day and most of my “ancient Chinese” comes form there.  They aren’t as bad literature as everyone think, 古龍 is really well written and very poetic.
I hope you’re not disappointed in me.   I’m not a good ancient poetry writer; I just want to spread the fun of reading and writing ancient poetry, cause no one seems to care for those poems anymore.  No one wants to touch them outside classrooms and it is sad.
Again, thanks for your kind word.
