She had tried to tell him she loved him again and failed once more. It was depressing, she had loved him ever since she knew him, her best friend he had become and now she knew he would hate her. She sat upon her bedroom window and listened to the CD in her player. She was so enwrapped in the introduction that she didn't hear the footsteps enter her room.

IThey won't see The fire you have lit inside of me They look up to the stars And wonder where you might be/I

She sighed and she knew that she had kept everything in and everyone worried about her so much, it hurt her. She couldn't tell a soul out of fear of Will finding out, but this had left her crying herself to sleep at night and hurting all the day. She did not hear the figure in her room get closer.

IThey look up without realising That they're standing right there in the palm of your hand I can't explain or understand I just love You/I

She never knew how and why she loved him, it just came. She knew that her signals had been more strong of late, it was nearly prom night and she was lonely, knowing that she would have to turn up dateless. It made her cry to think that she would be alone and he would be dancing and kissing the pretty girl that she wished to be. She sighed and wiped a few tears from her eye and gazed out to the stars and wondered if an answer was out there, somewhere.

The track played on and Will sighed at the sight of his friend so upset, he couldn't see why she was so sad, was there anything in the song she was playing? He wondered as he sat on the floor and watched her staring at the stars, the window showed her reflection with tears upon her delicate face.

ISo I think I'll stay Caught up in a silent prayer I believe in silence Our hearts speak the same word/I

Maybe if she stayed quiet she would never be able to tell him and everything would be all right. But that thought made her sob and her tears fell more ferociously down her cheeks. Will put his hand upon her shoulder and she turned around. He saw something in her eyes that told him everything, the reason she was crying, and it was because of him. She was about to open her mouth to say something but he stopped her by putting his finger upon her lips. He took everything in about her, the things he hadn't always seen, her beautiful dark eyes and her smooth skin that looked so soft. This girl was beautiful and she never realised it before.

ISo why don't we just walk along The shoreline with a silent song Cause I believe in Silence Our hearts speak the same word/I

She watched him and realised what he had seen and she needed to speak but he stopped her and just stared at her. She watched his ocean blue eyes flicker all over her face and smile was playing at his lips, she could tell what he was thinking but didn't want to believe it. They were in this silence and with out speaking they had revealed everything about each other.

IWe have to prove That our love is real over and over again But let them think what they want I know it will never end/I She knew that if she did tell him, they would be at odds, either with themselves or with the rest of school. Their friendship wasn't the most conventional, he was popular and she was the geek, he befriended her after doing study together. They had been friends for a few years now and people still made remarks and stuff. She sighed again.

IBecause I know where it began And my heart still heart still pounds twice as fast Whenever you walk by Cause I still love you/I

She knew it began at the study they had together and she could feel her heartbeat quickening every second he was near her, she wished she didn't feel like this. She looked down, ashamed. Will on the other hand brought his hand to her face and wiped her tears. He tilted her head and made her look at him, then he brought his lips upon hers. Juliet looked surprised but returned the soft sweet kiss. Juliet looked at Will with uncertain eyes and he finally broke the silence that had sat between them for so long. "I've wanted to say this to this to you for a long time," he took a deep breath, "I love you, Juliet." Juliet looked stunned at that. "What? How can you? It's not possible!" Juliet replied, "I've loved you for so long and you just can't!" William took her into his arms. "I can and I do," Will look at her straight into her eyes. Juliet submitted herself to his charms. "I love you," she said and gently kissed him. When they pulled away Will wanted to ask her something. "Juliet, will you go to the prom with me?" Juliet smiled. "Of course!" she replied and he led her from the window so they sat upon the bed. They talked for hours about everything like best friends but it was obvious to any that viewed that their relationship was something more.

Juliet woke in Will's arms on top of her bed; she smiled and realised that the previous night did happen. She sighed and knew that this wouldn't be easy but she knew that it was going to be worth it. She knew that silence would mean more to them and that was something that no one could take from them, not now, not ever. Because Iin Silence our hearts speak the same word./I
