Home is a lie,

There is no such place,

There are only buildings,

Places to stay.

In a home, you are supposed to feel safe,

Not afraid or alone,

Do you hide in a home?

Just to get the illusion you are safe?

They say home is where the heart is,

But what if you lost your heart?

Through all the pain and suffering,

What if you threw your heart away?

So tell me if you think there is such a place,

Tell me if you know where it is,

If there is such a thing as a home,

I have yet to find it.
