Folks do not care for their children

They keep themselves busy

In making money

Which they reason out is for

Children.

They do not care for children

They make darn laws

Declare all-out wars

Invent dumb nuclear weapons

Without even realizing

And hearing

The cries of innocent little

Angels

Who don't know the meaning

Of terrorism and wars

Who are afraid for what

The future will bring.

It is such an irony

That folks don't see

The bitter reality

That they don't

Really care

For children

All they give a

DAMN

Are

Themselves.
