I laugh so little anymore,

My smile never reaches my eyes,

My cheeks are forever stained,

With tears of hate and pain.

I will never be the same,

Never laugh as I once did,

Never sit and smile at nothing,

I will never be happy.

All the little things you cherish,

Are gone from my life,

Happiness has slipped through my fingers,

Never to grace my life again.

When I try to laugh,

I can only cry,

When I try to smile,

Only tears will come.

The joy I once felt,

Will never return,

I shall forever be,

Trapped in a world of hate and pain.
