A poem: The Fairy Kingdom

To be borne...

In a land of far beyond

Lush green plains, colors abound

Songs of the creatures ring melodiously

Intoxicating scents perfume the air

Where cascading wonders forever persist

Was to live...

In the horizon, upon a mysterious fog

A majestic palace, oh what grandeur!

Breathtaking magnificence

A glimmer of golden brilliance

Where wonderment never cease

Was borne ...

In lightning, winds and claps of thunder

An explosion to the cries of battle

The chink of swords and cries of men

Red blood churned into the lands

Where bitterness, pain and sorrows were borne

Was sent away ...

With a soothing hush, a comforting whisper

Soft caresses, pecks to the cheeks Then harried footsteps, a soft weeping

Streaks of tears, hopeful whimpers

Where that hope could not be seen

Was welcomed home....

In a silenced awe and whispers of disbelief

An eruption of cheer, and thunderous claps

Shouts of elation, and tears of joy

Trumpets echo through the air

Where faith and hope arose once more

Ran away...

Dark gray skies, low and rumbling

The galloping horse, a lone figure

Pounding heartbeats at approaching silhouettes

A swirl of green, a bending of the knee

Where fear and dread pounded in rhythm to one heartbeat

To be continued....
