Jane looked around with a quizzical eye. It was basically what she'd expected it to be. Only in its own way it was sort of comforting. The smells: dirt, food, hay, and manure when mixed together actually made a serene feeling come over her.

She looked left towards the bleachers; they were packed with adoring fans waiting for the games to begin the risks to take place.

Jane shook her head, people say that the Roman's were bloodthirsty! Jeez, these guys were practically foaming at the mouth waiting for the action to take place, the blood to pour.

Jane walked over to a section less crowded and sat down, pulling out her notebook and pen. Just then the gates opened and out came all the contestants for a calming lap around the arena, the Grand Entry. Jane watched with fascinated eyes, she'd never been to a rodeo before!

After a couple of laps they slowly left and out came only a few men, each holding a special flag, the first rider holding of course the American flag. And he held it proudly head held high as a young woman sang in a crisp beautiful voice the 'Star Spangled Banner'.

Jane wrote all this down excitedly in her notebook not even glancing down to see what she was writing, she couldn't take her eyes away. She didn't want to miss even a second!

When that was done the announcer of the event came on, Mr. Garrow. The first event was Saddle Bronc Riding; the event Jane's paper was mainly focusing on.

Jane smiled and fidgeted in her seat. Mr. Garrow told a couple of jokes so that the first cowboy, Danny Rocard could get prepared.

Jane's eye's brightened when in the middle of Mr. Garrow's horrible joke the gates burst open and out flew Rocard, literally. He hadn't stayed on for even two seconds. Jane frowned, she hoped that a couple cowboys would be able to stay on or else she wouldn't have much to base her story on.

Mr. Garrow continued on with his story as a Ty Willowe got situated on his Bronc. Jane tried to pay attention to the joke but it kept wavering back to the cowboy trying to get on his Bronc.

Even from her viewpoint quite a ways away she could tell he was handsome. From he's red and blue Justin cowboy shirt down to his scuffed up brown cowboy boots. At least what she could see of him.

The only part of his face that was visible was a strong stubborn looking chin, the rest was hidden by his straw hat, that was slightly deformed, due probably to some Bronc's feet Jane guessed smiling slightly.

Jane watched as he sat down and tied his right hand onto a thick rope, then she read his lips "Okay let her go boys," just before he nodded his head.

Bang!

The gate flew open, with Ty holding on tight. Jane stood up, stomach muscles tight, she absently realized that she was actually nervous for him.

Ty spurred and jumped and swayed, but he stayed on all through those eight seconds. Jane sat down with a plop; she'd never known time to go by so slowly! It had seemed more like years than seconds!

Jane laughed quietly; she was definitely green when it came to rodeos but by the end of her paper she figured she'd know something about them.

Jane slowly stood up; she needed something to drink all of a sudden. She didn't even care that Saddle Bronc Riding was still going on, she was shaky and couldn't stay still.

Jane walked to the first concession stand that she found and got two hotdogs and a Coke. She went to go sit at the picnic tables a few yards away when she couldn't help hearing someone talking.

" Ty what a ride, you keep it up and you'll make it to the NFR no doubt," an older man said patting Ty on the back.

'NFR?" Jane thought to herself, obviously she still had a lot to learn about the cowboy way.

' Here's your chance to talk to a cowboy,' a little voice shouted in her ear. Jane nodded her head. It was, plus Ty had done really well he probably wouldn't mind talking about it.

Jane slowly made her way over to him. She was only about five feet away when the full impact of her attraction to him hit her. Jane almost stumbled back but stiffened her spine and walked over to him.

This close to him it didn't matter that he was wearing a hat Jane could see him perfectly, and good golly miss molly was he a fine looking man. With black somewhat shaggy hair, and big green eyes Jane was surprised she didn't fall right to his feet.

When Jane realized that she'd be staring at him, and he was looking at her oddly because of it she snapped out of her trance, and put a big smile on her face, showing big sparkling white teeth.

" Hello my name is Jane Tall, I'm doing a college paper on rodeos, more specifically Saddle Bronc Riding I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about it?" Jane asked.

When she'd been sitting down yards away from him it had seemed like a wonderful idea, talking to him. But up close and personal, with his raw masculinity facing her full force, Jane wondered why she ever listened to herself.

Ty smiled as if knowing where her thoughts had run off too.

" Sure, what is it you want to know?" He asked all charm.

" Everything! Why you do what you do?" Jane asked, getting excited now. She was going to be able to get an interview, from someone going to the NFR, whatever that was!

" Not a problem follow me," he told her turning to the right all of a sudden. Jane hurried after him confusion making her brows come together forming a line in between them.

"Why?"

" Because I forgot something at my truck," he informed her walking in between trucks and trailers with a bewildered, overjoyed Jane walking besides him.

I'm going to be able to see what they live like up close and personal, wow! She thought a big smile on her face, making her look 16 years old instead of the 22yr old that she was.

Ty looked back at her. Just to see if she was still with him, she was. Ty undetectably gave her a once over. She was tall, maybe 5'8 and had long dark blonde hair, braided at the moment. Her hat, a new black cowboy hat with a red feather sticking out of the side hid her eyes from him, but he didn't need to see them to know the were probably like the rest of her, beautiful.

Ty silently whistled, damn if she wasn't the prettiest 'Buckle Bunny' he'd run across. Ty shook his head, he was to young to be so cynical, just because she was pretty and at a rodeo didn't necessarily mean she was a 'Buckle Bunny', a girl after your prize, after a genre that was only in town for a couple of days. Stupid women that don't realize that yeah, you may make a lot in your winnings but it goes fast on gas, food, and equipment when you're constantly running from one rodeo to the next.

" Where do you go to college?" He asked, making polite conversation as they stopped in front of his black dusty truck.

" Penn State," she answered writing everything that she was seeing in her notebook, receiving an odd look from Ty.

" Why the notebook? He asked frowning slightly.

" So that I can draw a picture with words on what rodeos look like," Jane answered calmly, looking up from her writings, smiling.

" You want to be a journalist or something?" Ty asked surprised that he actually wanted to know. He usually asked questions like that because it was expected, never from actual interest.

" Yeah, I've wanted to be a journalist since before I can remember," Jane whispered, a dreamy looking coming over her face just thinking about it.

Ty chuckled quietly causing Jane to snap back to reality, turning a pretty shade of pink.

" Sorry," she mumbled embarrassed she did that a lot when thinking about the future.

" No, I wasn't teasing you that's the exact expression I get on my face when I'm thinking about my next ride, my next horse," Ty assured her. And it was, the boys always teased him when they pulled up to a new rodeo and Ty would think about how his ride would be, what horse he'd draw.

Jane looked up at him and smiled brightly.

" Have you always wanted to be a Saddle Bronc Rider?" She asked flipping her notebook open again; finally she was on to questions she could use for her paper.

" Yeah I suppose that I have," he answered honestly.

" How old are you, if you don't mind my asking?" Jane hurriedly asked him, a lot of people got angry when she'd asked them such personal questions. But it usually made readers more interested when they knew which age group they were reading about, what genre.

" I'm twenty-five," he smiled at her seeing her face color again when she'd asked the question. He usually hated when girls came around him, asking him silly questions about being a cowboy, girls that hung all over him. But surprisingly he liked Jane, hell he welcomed her questions, she actually seemed to care how he replied.

" And what's your whole name?" She asked, not even glancing up at him. So engrossed in her paper she didn't see the lift of his left eyebrow at her lack of attention on him.

" Tyler Aaron Willowe," he told her amusement laced in his voice. He'd never met a woman before that'd tried to have a conversation with him, while doing something else. He was usually the center of attention, but not with Jane.

Ty abruptly swung his arm across her shoulder making her jump a little out of surprise, Ty smiled and Jane laughed.

" You know what, I think I like you," he told her smiling down at her pixie face squeezing her shoulders lightly to emphasize his point.

Jane laughed quietly while tinkles ran up and down her spine making her want to shiver.

" You know what, I already like you," she told him enjoying the feel of his arm around her shoulders way too much!
