Notes: This is an original poem written about a true experience I went through.

When I fell for you, I didn't realize
How terrible the
Side Effects
Would be.
One punch was it took to send me running.
I remember it to this day.
The words you yelled, the Hate in your eyes,
The punch itself.
I remember the blood on your fist
And the surprise on your face.
But most of all, I remember
Running.
