Resolution

Yesterday you came back to me.
Opened my eyes to what I can’t see.
The truth you left behind,
And the pain that I hide.
Hearts re-opened, minds confused.
All the ones that have been abused.
I share this with you, for it is the truth.
The most troubling love, is in your youth.
I vowed not to care, that I was through.
I thought I was right, that I was free.
At the end of my escape, I found you.
Again you grasp me, grip ever stronger.
Can’t breath much longer, I will break free.
This resolution, I will stay true.
This vow I’ve taken, I’ll see it through.
