Into the life…

How long has it been
Since I’ve fallen?
I’ve forgotten the feeling
And why it’s essential to life.
To love, and give
To someone you hope does the same.
To hope they don’t throw empty promises,
A world of pain, sorrow and discomfort
Into the life you had so well on your own.
Twisted and cold it becomes a spiral.
Downward into nothing it goes.
The torture goes on
Never ending, forever sending
Into the life you had so well on your own.
The end holds light, but the light holds darkness.
The soul is weak and gives in to such desire.
Again you venture into the cold spiral.
Twisting, turning.
Never ending, forever sending
Into the life I had… so well on my own.
