Our spirits bind, our hearts are free
You ask me to the Beltane dance
Oe'erleaping flames, the seasons pass
Summertime when the sun was warm
And gentle on your dozing form
You kissed me in the golden hay
and watched the fleecy bundles stray
Autumn's leaves all came tinkling down
And dressed me in a fiery gown
Your flute wound notes around the spray
And hailed me as Queen of the Fey
The winter fields were ice-entranced
You warmed me with a single glance
I lobbed your face with snow, and ran
Then shrieked, then fell, then ran again
You caught me in the height of spring
Hand in hand we went flowering
My blossomed hair, your smiling eyes
We sang beneath the starry skies
The village and the seasons all
The verdant hills and shepherd's call
'Twas then I breathed the earth and thee
Thy love which sets my spirit free
