TEMPTATION

-

It is sitting there, inviting

I look right to it there, replying

And in it's silent calls it implores

It welcomes me -

Please come! Have more!

-

It smiles's I turn'round, and glance

towards the seamless gift, per'chance?

I know the roll'tove its sweet ecstasy

As the silky'thro sings -

Come! To me!

-

It feasts upon my lustful glare

In which it's shroud is beauty, fair

I follow deep, in enraptured despair

Tho infatuated, catch myself -

If with but a hair.

-

Its smile creases, tips turning down

As the discipline in me, re-abounds

I kiss my eyes, my heart, my soul

For it shall tempt again -

Yet I give in - no more.
