My room is my cell,

It is also my haven,

It is where I feel safe,

But It is also my cage.

There are no bars to hold me in,

No one to guard the door,

But I still can't leave,

Can't escape.

Outside my door,

Is a life of pain,

A life of hate,

A life of grief.

So I lock the door,

And keep everyone out,

Keep the pain at bay,

But the sorrow remains.
