Afraid of what lurks within,

Always awake.

The fear consumes you,

It controls you,

Holds you prisoner,

Makes you its slave.

No matter what you try,

It pulls you back,

Back into its web,

And eats away your soul.

One day you step into the darkness,

Dreading what is to be your fate,

You wait and wait,

But nothing happens.

The fear is gone,

And replaced with tranquility,

No longer will you be controlled,

But in control.
