Why do you pretend to be my friend?

When all you do is use me,

Then when you no longer need me,

You turn and leave me.

Your laugh is false,

Your smile covers your heart of ice,

Your eyes are expressionless,

Your manner haughty.

When you need something,

I was always there,

But when I needed you,

You were gone.

I don't know why,

I didn't see it before,

I can't believe,

That I fell for your ploys.

Now you found someone else to manipulate,

Someone else to control,

So I am of no more use,

So you leave without blinking.

My true friends warned me,

But I couldn't believe,

That you would be so cold hearted,

That I meant nothing to you.

But I have to thank you,

For showing me to be careful,

With whom I give my trust to,

With those I give my heart to.
