So it turns to dusk.
The Sun is now in full retreat.
The sky, the never ending battlefield, glows in a bright red, a fiery
orange and an explosive yellow.
These are the battle torn colors of WAR.
The clouds, the white legions of the sky, are fleeing. Even they know when
they've lost.
To look at the sky, in all its warring terror, you can't help but know that
the Lord God has got style. It is he who is painting the picture you see,
with all the colors of the wind.
The clouds that are caught fall to the hands of the night and disappear
into the consuming darkness. The dusk is slowly dissipating. The night is
winning.
One last stand arrives, as the Sun flickers its last ray of defiance at the
night sky, before slipping grudgingly over the horizon.
Day has lost. Dusk retreats. Night has won.
The night gives birth to all the creatures of the darkness.
The specter's begin the skulking. The shadows awaken, and out of them comes
all that is evil. The shadows are, after all, doorways into the dark side
of existence itself.
Phantoms. Shadows. Shades. Night. Twilight. Evil. Obscurity. Darkness. For
the good it is now hopeless. The Sun has gone. It is night's time now.
Soon the Stars will come out and look down on this world, and their wonder
just as they always have, about the world they stare down at from their
heavenly seats.
The Moon will also appear as it seeks comfort in the night sky. To the
Moon, the night is its eternal home.
It is a shame though. Night is always replaced by day again, when the Sun
rises at dawn.
But that is a long way away now. An entire lifetime away. What matters is
the here and now.
Now it is a time for darkness.
Now it is a time for shadows.
Some might even say its a time for Ghost's, Ghouls and Goblins!
But what is accurate is that is now, right now; It's Night!
