"Kitsune's Lore"
1st Chapter.

Fyen woke up, screaming, a light sheen of sweat forrming on her forehead, eyes widened in shock. She screamed, the image of something horrible and cruel imbedded into her mind's retina. Tears streamed down her cheek, caressing and cooling, soothing and relaxing, a swollen, and red cheek. She pulled back her hair with shaky hands, revealing dark chocolate brown eyes, large and stressed. Whimpering, she held her knees close to her chest, letting herself go into a fetal position.

"Bad dream, bad dream, only a bad dream, Fyen, keep yourself together!" She told herself, putting her hands back under smooth, soft, and clean covers, slightly damp from excessive sweat and fear that had encompassed the young girl back into the world of being awake. Moonlight shone through a solitary window, streaming through a red curtain, making the curtain and where the moonlight shone a crimson red. Her eyes fell apon it. She screamed.

"Blood! Blood!!!" She cried out, as teardrops formed at her eyes. The reason in her mind quickly calmed her down-- and she took a few deep breaths to keep her stimulated-- awake. Suddenly, a wind blew tree branches into the slate gray exterior panels into the wall behind her. Fyen did a somersault-- and ended up falling out of the bed, landing on her arms. She gasped, and stood up. A piece of pretzel stuck in her arm, and she removed it... it didn't even pierce the skin. The girl fell back into her bed, head landing onto a fluffy and comfortable pillow.

"Why do I feel so... afraid... it's only night time," She said to no one in particular. "School tomorrow... though... a new school. A high school. Good lord!" Fyen said, looking up at the ceiling, where glow-in-the-dark stars shone brightly even in a room as dark as Fyen's. She climbed back into the covers, not shaken and afraid anymore, letting her arms go into a natural position: one resting on her chest, the other underneath the pillow, where it was cool and soothing against a feverish limb. Fyen closed her beautiful eyes, and she look like she had never woken up.

Weary and tired eyes opened, revealing a scene so beautiful and wonderous, it would bring a tear to the most foulest of people or beast. A forest lay before the female-- trees swaying in a harmonious unison. Birds sang the melody to a songless and meaningless tune, while the water beating against moss covered rocks played the rhythm. The forest was alive, to this female, and to the many inhabitants of this forest. She stood, slowly, her legs cracking and streching. Her arms limp, against her sides, and her hair gracefully pulled back and held by a green vine. The girl jumped off the tree branch, her feet springing off like a natural diver. She fell-- and the water caught her, before letting her go back upwards. She broke the surface of the liquid, and took a breath of clean and toxinless air. Her arms automatically went outwards to help her wade.

"Your morning swim?" A voice rang out, echoing in the trees and bouncing off the water, leaving ripples where it landed and bounced. The girl smiled, turning around, pretending to be surprised.

"Well, hello Mylee. It seems that you have stumbled apon me this morning!" She called out, as she started to swim to him. She did breaststrokes. Mylee, stood upright, beckoning with his hand towards him. He was tall, a five foot eleven, wearing a jacket, the color of a bluebird, and jeans, in the natural blue color it usually came dyed as. The girl crawled out of the water, and as soon as part of her naked form, clothing suddenly sprung out of the water with her, covering her in an aqua blue wrap of cloth. Mylee shook his head.

"Kera! We're friends! I think nakedness isn't going to be bad for you once in a while," He commented, and Kera waved her hand.

"Mylee. Just because we are, does not mean I will be naked in front of you. Not until we're old enough." She said, making a serious face.

"... stop talking like a human. Geebus!" Mylee exclaimed, pointing at her.

"Well, you stop acting like a 'tard child."

"There you go! With the human's way of language. Why don't you go back to mewling and chirping like a bird?" Mylee mocked, imitating a bird. His elbows were the wings-- his head the beak, and he chirped-- very identical to a bird, for music was very close to a bird than anything.

Kera shook her hand furiously. Suddenly, she realized it.

"Wait, why are you here, Mylee? It's almost my feeding time and you remember last time you were lingering when I went feeding?" Kera asked, crossing her arms.

"... don't remind me. It's the last thing I do. Anyways," He began, taking a deep breath. "The High Temple wanted me to let you know that there was a Nogitsune in this area. You know... a renegade kitsune."

"I know what one is, you stupid---" Kera began to say, but Mylee covered her mouth.

"Listen! He's considered very dangerous, as he has already drained out other kitsune's territories flat out. They say he's a five-tail and that's... very bad." He stated.

"... Mylee, you don't think he'd come around here, would he?" She asked, a little nervous. Five-tailed kitsunes were very strong, much stronger that Kera, who was a three-tailed avatars. Kitsunes are much stronger than human- or fox-born avatar kitsune.

"Well, he is a wind kitsune. He may very well come around here." Mylee noted, and Kera made a face.

"Do you think we could stand up against him well?" She asked and Mylee shook his head.

"I don't know," He said. Kera sighed, before moving up to him. She sniffed Mylee-- her senses keener than most human beings, but less than a kitsune's. She sensed a hint of vanilla and chocolate... and gave him a little lick. Mylee blushed.

"Kera, I suggest, if you see him, to let the Celestial kitsune know... you know where she is, right?" Mylee asked, and Kera nodded.

"You know, it can't be that bad," Kera said thoughtfully, and Mylee shook his head back.
