Sometimes we can feel so alone in this world…

Caged

Hidden behind a window

Staring out at the world

Separated from everyone

I watch them all go by

I'm trying desperately to understand

Why I can't shout out

And as I scream and pound away

They turn and stare me in the eye

Yet every time they look at me

It seems as if they can't see

So I guess my visage won't show through

And I can't help but wonder why

For I'm hidden behind glass

Yet to them it's a mirror view
