So Unreal

No one around

Mountains shadow the background

With a forest to one side

Thick and shady.

A sparkling lake to the other

Ripples catching the sunlight

Giving the impression

Of jewels hidden beneath its surface

Crystal clear and blue.

The sky matches the water's hue

With clouds rolling by

Taking away the sun

From time to time.

The grass a rich green

Soft to the touch

Warm under the sunlight.

A figure appears

From beyond the line of trees

Walking slowly toward me

Stopping by my side

Staring out at the scene before us.

He takes my hand

And looks into my eyes.

We leave the ground

Floating above the earth.

We hover above the lake

And the sun disappears

Replaced by the moon.

For a moment we're falling

And dive into the lake's gleaming surface

And stay suspended in the pool

Under the steady waves.

Shying away from the landscape above.
