I dedicate this chapter to my new reviewers: Pyrrha, katty, and Alex Boi. I never would
have wanted to continue without all my wonderful reviewers. Old and new. I love
my faithful reviewers too.
Pyrrha: My first reviewer!! :throws confetti and blows a horn: I love you, you know.
I'm glad you liked this! It was sad for me to write, I feel immensely guilty for doing
this to Drew. He's such a sweetheart…and sexy as hell…anyway, I'm not sure what's
going to happen to Drew yet. He'll most likely find someone. :lowers head in shame: I
haven't planned this one out like I did Gorgeous. :hands Pyrrha more tissues: This
chapter is little lighter/fluffier so I could cheer my readers up. Thanks for the wonderful
review!!
Alexiajennine: I know :pout: but it still was hard. Sad things always make me feel
down. (I'll admit, that's not the most brilliant comment I have ever expressed.) Thanks
for the plug! I appreciate that darling! :hugs Alexia: You're such a sweetie! And
everyone :claps hands to get attention: Go read Alexia's, "Fate" under the penname
Goddess Helena. Wonderful story! I shall continue it for you darling!
Ang: Well, look at you! :holds tissue: Here you go my dear beta! I'm glad you liked it.
And you shall have more!!
katty: Yes ma'am! :salutes katty and goes to the keyboard: Thank you! I'm glad
you're enjoying and keep on reading!!
Rue-Rue: :squeals and glomps Rue-Rue: Rue-Rue!! I haven't heard from you in
forever!! You're sequel is coming along nicely…I love it!! Aww! :hands Rue-
Rue a tissue: Quit crying sweetie! I'm sorry. Big hug! On a happier note, I'm glad
you liked it! And I'm glad you reviewed! Of course I dedicated it to you! You've
kept me writing. And I love you for it…and I expect to see more from you young
man.
Alex Boi: Oh my! I absolutely love The Sessions and Alone. Thanks for
reading my stuff. Jealous of moi? Thankies…I hope you liked Gorgeous as well.
Different characters but well…I don't know… Thank you so much for the wonderful
compliment! I think everyone should go read "The Sessions" and "Alone" . Beautiful
works by a talented author. I hope you enjoy this chapter too!
Disclaimer: I own all characters and places…except Kansas, Colorado Springs, and the
Gaelic language.. That would so rock to own a state and a language. Any relation
to a real event or another fiction is totally an accident. And I apologize in advance.
For now on it's going to be told in Drew's POV in a present voice. Like a
memory…make sense?
He stands in the doorway, looking absolutely miserable. I make my way over to
introduce myself. I mean I'd hate to be the new kid. Can you imagine how weird and
uncomfortable he feels? Besides he's soaked and the tornado watches didn't seem to be
helping his mood. He watches me walk towards him, a small smile playing on his lips.
He has a pretty smile and my breath catches. I can't believe I just thought that.
"Are you all right?" He shakes my shoulder and I blush. I can't believe I just
zoned out in front of him. How uncool is that? "Uhm, hey, you?"
"Drew Murphy."
"Wha…oh. Jackson Levis." He smiles at me and puts out a hand. I shake it
hesitantly then invite him over to my little group of friends.
"Guys, this is Jackson. Jackson this is Breanne, Ross, and Dan." He smiles
pleasantly at each of my friends in turn.
"Hey Jackie!" Breanne, a perky cheerleader, hugs him easily. She's a friendly
person. I used to be scared that she'd be friendly to the wrong person but the girl knows
how to take care of herself; I have the bruises to prove it. "Where ya from?"
"Colorado." Jackson pulls back a little.
"Oh! I've been to the Springs!" She grins and wraps an arm around his elbow.
"The air force men as so hot there."
"Yeah, they are." A shock silence follows his comment and he blushes. "I
mean…uh…never mind." He pulls away from her lack grasp and turns to leave. I'll be
damned if he feels weird around us.
"It's alright!" I hope my smile is as reassuring as I meant it to be. "What do you
sing?"
"I'm a tenor."
"Damn, I'm a bass alto. Oh well." I grin and wrap an arm around his shoulders.
"Don't worry, you'll fit right in with us."
"Yeah." Ross sneaks a peek at Dan and they both grin. Oh great, they've spotted
their new victim. Ross stands and pulls Jackson towards him. "Watch out for Dan." He
presses his mouth against Jackson's ear. "He's a dangerous flirt." Jackson yanks his arm
out of Ross's grasp.
"Leave me alone." He snaps and strides from the choral room.
"Good job, Ross!" I smack his arm and follow the soaking boy. "Jackson! Wait
up!" I match his stride and walk beside him. "Ross does that to everyone. Don't pay
any attention."
"I don't like people making fun of me." Jackson angrily shoves the bathroom
door open and heads for a stall.
"What are you doing?" I watch his retreating back.
"Playing cards, what the hell does it look I'm doing." Jackson shoves the door in
my face. I place a hand on my nose and growl in the back of my throat.
"Go hIfreann leat!"
"What?" Jackson's head pops out from around the stall door.
"Go hIfreann leat!. Gaelic." Damn it I did it again. Whenever I get upset I start
yelling in Gaelic. "To hell with you." I blush.
"You speak Gaelic?" Jackson's eyes shine with a hint of curiosity.
"My parents are from Ireland. They taught us the language." I blush. I hate it
when the attention is on me.
"Us?"
"My brother and I."
"That's cool." Jackson smiles. He has a pretty smile. Ugh, I can't believe I
thought that. "Say something else."
"Uh…Tá tú go h-álainn…" I blush. You're beautiful? The hell…?
"What's that mean?" Jackson grins and leans against the stall frame.
"Live and love." I have to commend myself on the quick lie. I can be brilliant
when I want to be.
"Oh." He pushes by me and washes his hands in the sink. "I'm going to head on
home. Mom'll be worrying about me." I smile and he reaches out a hand. I take it and
we shake. "It was nice meeting you." The door opens and he's gone. I sigh and fall
back against the tiled wall. My life is taking an interesting turn. Jackson's head pops in
from the hall. "By the way, you're beautiful too." Oh god. I think I'm going to be sick.
"You told him he was beautiful? Dude, what the hell were you thinking?"
Jeremy steals the basketball, easily, from my hands. Well, I might not be able to play this
stupid game but he can't touch my hockey. I rule at hockey.
"I don't know." I sigh and half-heartedly reach for the ball. He fakes a left and
easily passes by. Damn him.
"It's not like he understood you." My silence makes him stop. "Right?" I hate
uncomfortable silences. "You're shitting me? He understood you!"
I blush. "Yeah and before you ask, no I don't know how." Jeremy bounces the
basketball a few times. A bouncing basketball can be pretty damn annoying and I was on
the verge of finding something sharp when he finally stops. "Sit your ass down." He sits
next to me and wipes at the sweat collecting on his brow.
"That bites." Jeremy leans against the basketball pole. "I can't believe you did
that." He chuckles. "That is fucking hilarious."
"Atleast I have more guts than you do."
"Shut-up." Jeremy moans and bangs his head back against the pole. "I'm really
starting to regret telling you."
"What? Your little crush? I have to admit, Josh is good looking." I duck. That
boy can bitchslap, I tell you what.
"Hey!" Jeremy looks up and grins. Oh, here comes trouble.
"Hey guys." Josh stolls towards us, smiling. A brilliant smile lights up Jeremy's
face. The boy is good looking. "What's going on?"
"Playing basketball, what are you doing over here?" Jeremy asks as he motions
for Josh to sit. Josh smiles and sits beside Jeremy. He so wants Jeremy.
"I'm not going to be able to go to the movies. My parents want me to visit the
psychiatrist again. They think I'm still troubled." He sits his chin on his palm and stares
at the ground. "I hate going. Just when I think I'm starting to get over the whole Tanya
thing the doctor brings it back up." He sighs and rubs his eyes. Jeremy watches him,
sympathy and love practically oozing from his gaze.
"You can come over to my house afterwards if you want. Angie'll cheer you up."
He rubs his back soothingly.
"Thanks. Ang is a cute kid." Josh's voice seems to be a little happier at the
mention of Jeremy's sister. An embarrassed jealousy flashes over Jeremy's face but he
controls it when Josh looks up. "Yeah, I'll come over." I chuckle quietly and look away.
They would be the cutest couple.
"Daid!' I enter the kitchen and look around for my dad. He's usually messing
around in here while mum is at work.
"Out here Aidan!" His voice is coming from the open window. Outside. Should
have known. I grab myself a bottled water and sprint down the back stairs. "I think the
daises are coming up right nicely, don't you?"
"Yes Da." Da has a lot of pride when it comes to his flowers and cooking.
"Anything for me to do?"
"Well," Da stops to let his gaze wander around the yard for a few moments. "níl.
Not now anyway, maybe when your mum comes home." He turns and starts digging into
the soil. "How are things at school Aidan?" I flinch; only my parents are allowed to call
me Aidan. I prefer to go by my middle name, Andrew. It's easier for people to
pronounce.
"It's fine. There's a new kid in choir. Jackson Levis. He speaks Gaelic." A
small smile appears on my father's face. He likes people who know the native tongue.
"He's really nice."
"You should bring him over for dinner Aidan." He reaches into a bag of soil
beside him.
"I don't him that well Da." I brief flutter in my stomach makes me shiver. I can't
help but think I'd like to get to know him better.
Much better.
Wowie wow! I'm done with this chapter and another one should be
around…sometime. I have no idea. Gorgeous is going to be updated, most likely,
for the final time at the end of the week. I hope. Who knows what my muses are
cooking up.
So yeah…review!! I love reviews! They make me want to sing and dance!!
:spins around the room sining misc. songs: And I shall sing and dance for you forever
and ever!! Just review…please! I beg you on bended knee!
