Was it God's Plan?

Was it God's plan for the world to be like this?
Or was it merely a horrible coincidence.
Did He want the world to be launched in chaos?
Or was it because Man lost his conscience.

Did he realize when He created the species men
Years down the road they would shun his existence?
Was he prepared that freedom would bring disobedience
And his perfect creations would worship the Devil's omnipotence?

Was it ordained in Heaven for men to sin?
When God tired of them living off his garden.
Was it written in the book of life?
That Man was to be thrown out to live in decadence.

Maybe God is a mad old scientist,
Playing with the chemicals inside his tiny lab,
Wearing a funny lab coat like that of a dentist.

Maybe God is a chess player that controls out little lives
He sits there pondering on where his pawns will go
Not really caring with each move he chooses whether we survive.

Maybe God and his angels are a football team who act so tough
Kicking the little ball called Earth round and round the field.
And when the ball explodes, they realize "Oops" they've played too rough.

Maybe God is a puppeteer who sets up a tiny stage
Then he controls us, and all our nasty fates
But when the he gets all bored, he locks us in a cage.

Maybe God is a forgotten prisoner who regrets it all
He realizes his mistake but his hands are firmly chained
So he does nothing but stare at his white washed wall.

Maybe God is the devil and the devil is God
They suffer from schizophrenia of some weird sort
Guess He can't help it so you can't call him a fraud.

Did you ever wonder, what God made religion for?
Did anyone ever ponder, what people were killing for?
Did someone ever ask, what life's sufferings were for?
Did people ever question, what countries are fighting for?
Did everyone pause to think, what people were dying for?
Did we ever stop to think, what our purpose of living was for?

Now you ponder, now you question, now you even wonder,
Was there a plan from God for the world or does He really exist.
What was God's plan for His people, or has His cares already ceased.
With the rise of the anti-Christ and all the Satanists,
Was this part of God's wonderfully crafted plan?
Was it God's plan?
