Catch Me Unawares
By: Toireasa

The way I smile,
Try to pose for the camera,
It's not me,
Don't trust the product.

You won't ever see the real me,
But I wish you would try.
When I lean over the edge,
In a desperate attempt to fly,
Catch me unawares,
And you'll get a glimpse of me.

The pictures always hide,
The way I really feel inside.
Behind a forced smile,
I'm wishing I didn't have to show.

They won't ever see my true reflection,
But I wish they could.
When I slump my shoulders,
And tears slip down my face,
Catch me unawares,
And you'll get a photo of my mind.
