Silent Plea

A/N: There's no way out...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

One misfortune
After another,
No where to turn,
No where to run,

Nowhere to turn,
Nowhere to run,
She comes along
And I know I'm done.

Along she comes
With a grim demeanour,
I want to run
As soon as I see her.

I want to run
And be able to cry
Out aloud for help
But she'll glare and sigh.

I want to cry out
As soon as she's seen
But my mouth only opens
In a silent scream.

A silent scream as if
Held underwater, as if
Held underwater
By her black booted foot.

I stretch out a hand
In desperation:
But maybe this will be
My last complication?

But a pair of arms
Drag me out into the sun.
She's stopped me from crying out-
She's had her fun.

But as her black figure
Fades as I 'm aghast,
I think 'surely,
Next time will be my last.'

Nobody knows
When I cry out for help,
Because the cries are silenced
Before they are even felt.

And I cannot escape her
As the sad truth be
That this 'she' in black clothing
Is none other than me.
